My boyfriend's brother is a DJ at a gay pirate bar and he recently approached me about re-designing their logo. His specification: two-tone, if possible (black and white) for printing on tee shirts. Other then that I had compleete creative freedom. ^^ So, here's my re-vamp of their old logo. I hope they like it. The original can be found on their home page: [link]

I believe the descriptor for this particular piece would be the decades defunct phrase, "Gnarly."

Unfortunately, you've asked for an advanced critique on a very solid piece. The only thing I wonder is if stars are the best thing to flank that particular skull . . . two flanking bottles of XXX rum might look good too. But that is truly a matter of personal taste.

Hmm... a little more malicious than I'd expect out of a gay pirate, but it is still flaming. ;)

Very nice job with this piece. Yeah, I do agree that some pirate imagery would be good, but then again, this is pretty awesome by itself!

Yeah, this is just the first one, and I was trying to keep in theme with the last one which (if you check the link) has stars and flames.Booze is a good idea, tho, I'll keep that in mind. ^^
